I’ve watched the tutorial videos but am having trouble getting started with the initial build of a very simple stage setup. I have a small lighting rig that should be pretty easy to layout in MSD but I’m having trouble getting started. I have things working pretty well in M-PC and would love to be able to use the 3D Vizualizer in MSD. The fixtures I’m using are:
4 Chauvet Intimidator 255 movers
10 Monoprice LED PARs
I have attached an example of the basic stage setup we are imagining to replicate in MSD. If you could give me the first 10 or 15 basic steps I need to follow to get started generating this from scratch, I’d really appreciate it.
Yes, in fact I included that link in my initial post. There really wasn’t a “Getting started from scratch” video. I’d love to see a video of someone creating a simple stage plot like mine from scratch with the programs with the goal of getting it to work with M-PC and the 3D Visualizer.
So in lieu of a video (I realize that’s a lot to ask), could someone please post the 10-15 steps that I need to follow to create a new stage setup? Thanks!
From a new scene, go to the right sidebar and in the library section you can search fro what you need and once find, click and drag the object to the drafting area.
you can manipulate any objects with the mouse or using the sliders on the right sidebar.
You are an amazing human being. Thank you so much!
I really understood everything clearly, the information was organized and focused. I’m convinced that I will be able to get my simple stage setup and fixtures input into MSD now. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to create this video.
I’m interested to know if there are ways to copy and paste will simultaneously adding incremental distances to objects. Create one vertical totem with a fixture and then copy/paste a few more at 6’ increments…? Maybe this is possible…
