# CLU for Mac

Hi Edward,

Could you please look into porting CLU to macOS? A lot of us use MacBooks as our work computers, and it’s really annoying having to hunt down a Windows laptop to configure 2 settings on an NS8

Welcome to the forum.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I actually have a meeting with our developers this afternoon to discuss a Mac version of CLU. We are actively investigating this, and understand its importance.

In the meantime, as long as you know the IP address, don’t forget that you can configure the NS8 from Safari/Chrome. If you don’t know the NS8’s IP address, you’ll need to conduct an LLRP discovery. Although CLU cannot be run on Mac, you may find there are third-party Mac apps that can perform LLRP discovery.

Hey Edward,

I second this. It would be great to have a Mac version for this as a lot of our team have been migrating to Mac. Would make it a lot easier for our on-site teams. Web browser still works fine, but the CLU is just so much better 🙂
