Global intensity preset / macro

New here, fairly new to programming so sorry if this is an old question

I’d like to make either global macros or presets for intensity (i.e. 10%, 20%, 30%, etc) that apply to all lights, such that if I add or modify the patch in the future the presets will still work.

What’s the best way to do this?

Thanks

Check out mine and the other solution described in the below thread:
Global Color Presets? - ONYX / Software - Obsidian Control Systems

Use presets and cloning

This is a really weak solution.

I work in film and we get thrown new fixtures all the time. I would have to patch the entire library of fixtures to clone on short notice, just to enable CCT and dim presets.

Is there really not a better way?

In the linked thread, I noticed Ofer_brum set an FX macro for a color, which enabled use on all fixtures. I haven’t tried it myself but it seems like a good solution

  • Set one fixture with the desired color
  • Save as FX Macro
You can now use it with any fixture of this show

edit: Just tried it with color and intensity, works for me (I learned something new wooo)
