I am having issues trying to move from “Play to Base” it takes a real amount of time here to move frome one to the others,it’s looking like a little bug ,can you please check this on latest windows 11 version ?

Why don’t you make all the functions like " Base/ Fx or Play or F-keys" selectable from the software directly ,to avoid any hardware issues! and make these storable as user defined options?
its intentional that you need to hold down the button for 2 seconds or so to jump between the two “modes”
