Akai and onyx wing

Software Version: latest
NX Console Type or PC OS Version: nx wing and/or nx-p+k

Hi,

Considering using Akai - APC Mini mk2 with my board (at school) for various playbacks we use in live dance shows.

before doing that… I need to know. Using a midi controler is adding buttons and faders or it’s replacing ?

I’m French.. I’ll try to be as clear as possible.

Using Akai gives me more button option I can use STILL CAN leave all buttons and faders available on my onyx board

OR

I have to choose one or the other ? Meaning buttons and faders on onyx wing unusable as I work with AKAI ?

Hi @Chriatianfelix

Welcome to the forum.

If you connect a MIDI device to ONYX, this does not increase the number of cuelists you can program. However, it does mean you can access more cuelists at once. This is because you can have some cuelists controlled by the physical ONYX hardware, such as NX P or NX W, plus additional cuelists controlled by the MIDI device simultaneously.

Hope this helps.
