Any chance of you guys making a small usb sub fader panel similar to the left side of the NX4?
Coming from an ION I really miss my little none motorized faders for FOH lekos, specials, etc…
I can’t speak to future products, but I can give a couple current solutions.
You can setup a view that has a virtual submaster panel. Then you can use touch screen to control those options. You could also do a playback panel which will give you actual faders to work with. This option would need to have a different wing ID so it doesn’t mirror the main playbacks. . Takes a little getting use to.
The other option is to use a DMX in setup. You can configure any older preset type console with physical faders and map them to specific fixture or cues. This would act like a third party wing but great for the things you just suggested.

Thank you for the suggestions. I am still pretty new to onyx and was unaware I could set up a subgroup view with virtual faders. This would be a good solution since this is really only for a few DS Specials from the FOH bridge. I will dig into the views and set this up.
Our Ion is currently set up to the right of the NX Wing/NX P combo and I have been using the ion fader bank to control the specials on dimmers since I use the Ion screen as a sCAN output view but really want to get away from that since I won’t always have that luxury.
We do have a spare 15in touch screen panel that will allow this to work well I believe. Worse case your suggestion of a DMX In set up would also fit the bill.

Another option since you have an NX-P. Just set those up on another bank. With the Motorized faders, a quick bank change to adjust those specials and then back to the previous bank is very simple. I’d suggest getting more familiar with the console and features. You have a powerful setup. You can also use the NX-Wing as the “sub panel” since they don’t have motorized faders and use the NX-P for everything else. Lots of options already available without adding anymore hardware.
