I recently upgraded to 24H2 and seems the issue is linked to this.
I also upgraded ONYX to the latest 4.30 version.
Creating a new file ends up with this error message:

There’s a possibility that the Visual C++ runtime may have got corrupted due to the Windows update.
Please restart your PC, and then go to the Windows Settings app (can be accessed by holding the Windows key and tapping I). Then go to Apps > Installed Apps, and scroll down to “Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64)”

Found it. Seems there was some kind of issue with the local database. I fully remove that one as well, removed all the database files ((in %APPDATA%/…) and reinstalled everything.
