Change cuelist values from one preset to another?

Sorry if this is the wrong place.

I have a cuelist I created a while ago for just a pan/tilt preset in my rig, I’d like to change the preset in the cuelist values to a different preset, Is it possible to do this? I have spent a few hours trying to figure it out but to no avail.

the main problem I’m having is that this cue is supposed to release another cue when it’s triggered but it never does so my thought is to copy one that works as expected and then just change the preset, but if I can’t I will have to find another way.

Both are possible.

  1. For the cuelist with just pan/tilt. Edit the cue you what to change. Select the fixtures and then select the new preset. Press update.

  2. For the cuelist trigger to release. There are a couple ways to do it. Without knowing many details. You could try the release on next go macro or the release cuelist “xyz” (which is a specific cue you select.

Thank you for your reply, I ended up using the load command on one of my cues that works as expected and that produced the result I was looking for. I have a bunch of cues that trigger specific xy positions for the whole rig then rows of cues with the same position presets but only for specific fixture groups, i expect the ones that trigger across the whole rig to release the ones that trigger groups. I don’t know why but one of the whole rig cues (the one I use the most) wasn’t releasing any of the other whole rig or even the groups cues (it was working initially when I programmed it). which doesn’t really effect me running the show, but it’s annoying to have to release a cue that should not be active every time I want to fire it again.

anyway I’ve got it figured out now and your tidbit of info is very appreciated, I like your approach and will be using it for other things in the future as this is something I come across from time to time.
