CLU crashing at startup.

CLU keeps crashing a few seconds after startup. I have uninstalled and reinetalled the latest version available but it’s still crashing. In the past, CLU had worked fine, but now, after it finds the devices, crash.

Hi @mpetersen

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear this. Please could you confirm what version of CLU is installed? CLU v1.1.2 was released recently, so I just want to doublecheck you are running this version.

Are you on Windows 10 or Windows 11?

If you disconnect your laptop from your network, and launch CLU, does it continue to crash, or does the issue only occur after CLU has discovered devices?

What Netron devices are on your network, and what firmware versions are they running?

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Edward

Hi Edward,
CLU version 1.1.2
Windows 11
I disconnected from the network, but it still does the same. I also scaled down to a single gateway on the network (an EP4), but it’s the same either way. It seems like it’s crashing right after it finishes searching for devices, whether any are found or not. One note I just thought of; The PC that CLU is installed on has 2 ethernet adapters that are on 2 different networks.
Could that be confusing CLU?
Thanks.

Thank you for the information.

If you run CLU with administrative privileges, do you continue to encounter the same issue? Has CLU been granted access through your Firewall?

CLU should be able to run with multiple network adapters connected to Windows.

If you download a fresh copy of the CLU installer from our website, and run this, does CLU then install correctly, or does the issue persist?

Hi Edward,
I did reinstall with a freshly downloaded copy of V1.1.2, but I didn’t think about running as admin.
I just uninstalled using Geek Uninstaller so I could be sure it deleted every file and didn’t leave any CLU data behind. I’ll try reinstalling 1.1.2 and try running it as admin. I’ll let you know what I get.
Thanks!

Hi @mpetersen
