color correction

I would like to create color correction profiles for fixtures so a yellow or purple looks near identical between fixture types.

Ive come across the problem that one fixture is quite far off from another wich is a problem for video mapping in dylos or when using build in fx like a rainbow wave.

@Traceo

Are you referring to color Presets. You select your fixture types adjust the color parameters and store the preset. You can use the preset in cues as well as in DyLOS? There are also the Static and Dynamic Color Palettes within DyLOS. Maybe take a look at those.

Hope this helps,

Watson

Im referring to any way where you cant influence the color directly for a single fixture. E.g. several fixture types in one Dylos zone.

Following scenario. I have 2 Fixure types.
RGB Led Pars and Color strobe panels (some thing like a ADJ Jolt Panel).
When I run a generator with a color pallet, for example orange and purple. The Par may be more like a Yellow and Magenta/Pinkish color while the Jolt panel is the desired Orange and Purple.

Is there a way to color correct the par so it outputs the same color as the jolt panel?

Several Dylos zones for each fixture type would be undesirable because onyx is limited to only 5 zones.

Hi @Traceo

As @Watson mentions, the best option is to use Preset Mapping in DyLOS. This would allow you to map the black DyLOS content to one preset, such as “Orange”, and the white DyLOS content to another preset, such as “Purple”.

That way, you can then record the correct colours into your presets for each fixture type, and DyLOS will then use these presets.
