connection between the two weight parameter

Software Version:4.32.1311
NX Console Type or PC OS Version:nx1/ nx wing/ pc with nx k

hello, what exactly is the interconnection between the weight parameter in the cv of a dylos zone at intensity second tap, and the weight you can adjust by double clicking the link buttom?

and which way we have to use it the best way for single or in combination?

and, is there a way to adjust the weight in the way with the double click the link buttom, and see what you do?

we record a cue with parameters on some fixtures like int and color, at the same time there is a moving strip in a dylos zone on a transparent background, in the same cue recorded. if we want to adjust the balance between the color and int on the fixtures and the travelling strip in white, there is allways the color and int information in the programmer in higher priority than the dylos info. so as a result, the balancing between dylos and the programmer or later recorded cue info is not shown in realtime. it doesn`t matter if edit the cue or write a fresh one or load a running one. and is nearly impossible to find the correct values in a blind fly. what is a solution for seeing the dylos and “normal parameter” mix while we adjust the values?

thx.

Hi @deflost

The DyLOS Zone “Mapping Weight” and “Direct Weight” parameters, can be used to decide the weighting between the DyLOS Zone and all LTP parameters it is controlling. This is only of use if you are controlling pixels that do not have their own intensity parameter.

The DyLOS Weight virtual parameters, which can be accessed through the Link menu, tell cues per parameter, whether this particular parameter should be controlled by the cue data, or the DyLOS data…

Although the Weight parameter data is shown in the Programmer, the true result will only be seen when the cue is played back, and the programmer is cleared. In the programmer, manually controlled channel values will always override DyLOS. Whereas when playing back cues, you must use the Weight channels if you would like fixture parameter values to override DyLOS values.

I hope this helps.
