Dylos content mixed with Intensity only fixtures

Working with a sign that has over 500 white leds. I’m trying to combine Dylos content and conventional programming lighting effects.
Created a fixture group containing the border and set those to chase while overlaying a Monochrome media source over the entire sign.
While in the programmer, all looks as intended. I record this to a playback and only the Dylos content appears in the 2D Plan.

Thanks for any help to have both play at the same time.

Yeah that’s normal, when you use dylos it overrides everything, so any other intensity parameter into a zone don’t work. You can try by putting a background color in zone while programming with dylos (for generators it works, but now I don’t remember if works also with other), or you can create a your own video

You’d have to create a border on your monochrome because DYLOS takes over everything, try creating a simple white outline on the content instead of creating a white chase.

Thank you for the responses.

Frustrating that while in the programmer it is doing exactly what I’m looking for but, when I record it as a cue Dylos takes over.

This functionality is logged on our software tracking system as ONYX-845, and will be included in a future software update.

To clarify a few of the response. 1) when playing back cues DyLOS currently is the highest priority. It will control output over every in that zone. 2) when programming, the programmer output has highest priority and will act just as you described. I don’t have a good way to describe or call this. But I know what you are referring to. 3)As Edward said, they are working on it.

That said there is an option to try. First, I like to make my base looks and record them onto a playback. Clear the programmer and playback the look. Then I make my DyLOS look in the programmer. This is now layer over my base look so I can see what it will look like. Then I record the DyLOS looks onto another playback. This allows me to fade it in and out as needed.

Now to your situation. I would try using a mask in DyLOS that will exclude the border lights. This should allow your perimeter chase to go while DyLOS is working in the center. Then when you are done, just remove the mask. Another option would be to set your zone inside of the perimeter (exclude them from the zone). This however won’t allow them to be affected at all, which might not be the end result.

Hope that helps,

Watson
