NX Console Type or PC OS Version:
I tried to use DYLOS it’s just too complicated I can’t get audio into Onyx on PC using reaper with AISO because it only exports the sound to my external speaker. Is there a way to get the same audio feed into Onyx on PC? My PC doesn’t have a microphone input so that’s out of the question. The same PC is running Onyx and Reaper. Also how do I delete DYLOS if I don’t want it, I figured out how to delete the DYLOS zone in 2D Mode but it creates a patch and it won’t delete it or the processor patch.
If you have an external USB sound card featuring an input and an output, you could configure Reaper to send to the sound card’s output. You could then connect the output to the input, and configure Onyx to listen to the sound card input. If you encounter any difficulties in Onyx, set the driver type to WASAPI in Menu > I/O Settings > Settings > Audio Device.
If you have deleted an Onyx zone from the 2D plan, you can delete the Onyx zone from patch just like you would any other fixture (Patch > DELETE x ENTER > Confirm)
If you have added any items in the Library window, these will not be automatically deleted upon deleting a DyLOS zone. These can be deleted separately from the Library window.
Open the Library window in Onyx, and choose the “Input Source” tab. Then delete the input processors you no longer need from the user folders. You can then remove the virtual Processor fixture from Patch.
Use ReaRoute to get audio from Reaper into Onyx. Add a new hardware output Route to whatever audio channel you want to drive Onyx and send it to an unused ReaRoute channel(s). In Onyx under I/O settings select ReaRoute ASIO as the input device and select the same channel(s) you selected inside of Reaper.
