En12 labeling outputs

Hi all.

Just wondering if there might be a way to add a label for each output of the en range outputs. I have a few en12s in a school installation and it would be great if in the clu software and onyx to see labels. (Scrolling on display would be amaing but probs a push). So that port 1 could be labeled unuverse 11 (lx bar 1) or port 7 (aud perch op) as then its universe number would change per event.

In onyx it has a label but would be good if that would also work with a label fron the en12s.

Mainly so that we know what port os ehat and we can change universes with confidence as we know where it goes.

Hope it makes sense. As another option to do the same with ns8 so we know what cable goes where.

This was added to the EN12 and EN12i in Version 3. So far its only supported by the web interface, not CLU. It uses an Art-Net compliant label field per port.

Please use the updated version of CLU (v1.1.1) linked below.

Cheers mate. Where do get firmware version 3? Online its still 2.9.4.
So will work with sacn?
The school is moving away from artnet to sacn. So consoles and network get moved around the time.

V3 is embedded in the CLU 1.1.1 download.
It will work for all protocols, It can be set by web ui OR artnet controller.

Hi mate. Managed to do thst and is amazing. But it broke my dmx merge. Like some of the new features though. Have to roll back.

Hi @mzagarn

After installing Netron firmware v3.0 on your EN12, you should be able to reload your backup file. This should then reload any merging you had configured.

If you have reconfigured your merging, and this doesn’t seem to be working, please let me know your setup so we can troubleshoot further.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
