HELP setting up EN6 IP for first time to NX touch

Recently was told I am replacing a career LD for an event. Issue is I have to add a node while I am out there as my NX. Touch only has one DMX out. I already have the en6, just been sitting in a box since I always use rental consoles with 3-4 outs I haven’t needed it. But I need at least 2 outs for this event.

Is there a quick/ easy step by step way to set up the EN12 using my laptop and NX touch. Consider me IP/ computer illiterate lol

Thanks

Hi @RecreationalAV

Welcome to the forum.

In the simplest set-up, connect your Netron EN6 IP, or any Netron device, directly to your PC with a single Ethernet cable.

Launch ONYX on this PC, and go to ONYX > Menu > EtherDMX > Settings. In here, ensure “EtherDMX Output” is switched ON at the top.

Under Network Interfaces, you should see your PC’s Ethernet port. Click the IP Settings… button for your Ethernet port, choose EtherDMX, and click Apply.

Then click “Art-Net”, for this Ethernet network interface, so that it goes red. Art-Net should not be enabled on any other Network Interfaces, and sACN should not be enabled on any of them. Once configured, click the Apply bottom situated bottom-right.

If your EN6 IP is in its default state, the first four universes patched in ONYX, should be output from the first four ports of the EN6 IP.

If this doesn’t work, in ONYX go to ONYX > Menu > EtherDMX > Devices. In here, you should see your EN6 IP’s 6 ports listed.

If you cannot see the EN6 IP, it may be worth factory resetting it. This can be done from Menu > System > Factory Reset.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.
