Trying to get overrides to be triggered at a certain intensity via a MIDI command. I just updated to the newest version we were on 4.30 but I saw that the 4.32 was supposed to fix the bug where midi could force a cue to 100 percent. After the new update I was able to trigger it a few times at a set intensity e.g. 60%. Then it stated to get stuck at 100% even if you release it and try to control it with the slider it goes from 0 to 100 percent immediately.
Maybe it’s possible I’m doing it wrong I tried it two different ways, one with the virtual slider being set to 60 percent and having the midi cue trigger that override cue directly. I also tried having the midi cue triggering a normal cue which has both a tigger for the override cue and a set intensity to 60 percent for that override cue.
ONYX 4.32 introduced a new MIDI Macro: GO-NO-FADER , which can be used to trigger a cuelist without changing its current playback fader level. Please make sure you are using this MIDI Macro.
Alternatively, you could send a MIDI Control Change message, rather than a MIDI Note, to set the fader to the required level. For this, you would need to use the EXT-FLASH MIDI Macro.
I’m having the same issue, I am trying to set up a MIDI button that releases some fx overrides, and then retriggers them at the fader values they were previously set to when I let go of the button.
For this, I have one MIDI macro set to RELEASE the OR cues when I press down the button, and then a second macro to trigger the OR when I release the button. However, even using the GO-NO-FADER macro pushes and locks my faders on these OR cues to 100%, until I manually flash them in the console.
