Netron locking Ethernet connector - which plug mates?

Hello,

I just purchased an EP4, which is working great. I would like to use the locking Ethernet connectors, but I’m unsure which brand/model plug mates with the EP4 jacks. I see that Neutrik makes two different styles of locking Ethernet plugs, but are either of them compatible with the EP4 jacks?

Thanks,
Irwin

@Irwin,

We like to use the newer Cat6a plugs from Neutrik NE8MX6-B or NE8MX6-B-T. They are a little pricey, but worth it. They are for non- pre assembled cables and have the RJ45 plug with them. If you have pre-assembled cables and just want to put the shell and boot on they have those also. Or if you need outdoor protection go with the TOP series. All Neutrik Cat 5(e) and Cat6a work. The only one that won’t work (and is noted on the website) is the cat 6.

Hope this helps,

Watson

Thank you @Watson , that’s exactly the info I was looking for!
