When you say “scrollers”, are you referring to the four encoder wheels, situated top-right of the NX Wing?
Please run ONYX, and go to ONYX > Menu > Tools > Diagnostic > Console Tester. Various windows will open, one of which will be the NX Wing front panel tester. In here, please ensure you see values changing when adjusting the encoders, or touching the 3.5" touchscreen. If you see a response, please let me know.
If you see no response, please press buttons and move faders, to ensure these are responding correctly. Please then close the Console Tester, and then click the “Firmware Update” diagnostic tool. In here, please select the USB device starting “E111”. Please then take a screenshot, and email this to support@obsidiancontrol.com. We will then be able to investigate further.
If the encoders are working when in the Console Tester, however they don’t seem to be working when a fixture is selected, please expand the parameter controls (CV), by clicking the up-arrow situated bottom-right of ONYX. In here, click the settings cog, and then ensure the Resolution is set to Dynamic. If you spin the encoders, do the parameters then change as expected?
I must admit that we have NXP/NXK. We were working on that one till the encoders didn’t respond (event if we parameter the NXK correctly for the encoders). As the encoders didn’t work, we switched to NX wing that went back from the shop (usb was dead).
Worked for a while, but stopped after a while, randomly. I thought it could be a problem using 2 settings with differnt boards… but even if it is, why is the NXK stopped responding… hmmm

To close the problem, and for everyone to beneficiate of my experience… The school provided me a laptop more than 5 years ago dedicated to the board. It wasent connected to the Internet nor kept up to date (windows). Not kept up to date as I could not be altererd in time, so less chances to have problems AND no forced updates in the middle of a show …
In desperation, I asked the school to provide a new laptop on wich I installed everything. The encoders and everythin started to work properly.
I guess Onyx updates through time was considering the changes in windows more than I though.
Thanks to have worked with me trying to find the problem !
