NX1 Changing Banks on its own ....

Software Version: 4.32 - NX 1:

I am working on a cue on a fader in Bank 1. Any attempt to edit the cue automatically changes the bank to #5, where we have a collection of overrides for our Cyclorama.

We seem to be locked out of any saving of the cue, unless we do it on Bank 5.

Similar scenario … brand new cue involving simple FX … press “Record” and instantly, bank #5 pops up.

Cuelist Active only shows our Bank #1 fader. No other Playbacks or Cues show as active. We have tried to set the Cuelist as “Main” but no change. The “Link” light seems to be coming on as well.

I cannot recreate the problem on my PC (v 4.32).

Has something become embedded that I am not aware of?

Any ideas?

We may have solved it.

Someone plugged in a keyboard and set it underneath on a counter then put a pile of papers / boxes on top of it.

We pulled all USB devices and the “what’s this?” moment happened. The books were clearly weighing down the keyboard’s function keys and F5 was activating. You could not see the keyboard under the stuff covering it.

All is now back to normal.

This may account for some of the other weird stuff happening this past week.
