Are there any plans for a button-based controller, similar to the NX-P, only with banks of programmable buttons? Assignable to cue(stacks), presets, etc.
Additionally, is this a common use case others have run into as well?
I do a lot of on-the-fly busking, and back in the days of the MA Dot2, the Button-wing was a lifesaver. I’d love to see something like that for ONYX, and (at the surface at least) seems relatively trivial to implement.
Edit: The 10 programmable buttons on the NX-P are exactly what I’m referring to. A controller that consisted of five to ten banks of those ten buttons would be perfect for my use case.
Thank you very much for your suggestion. This has been noted.
It is worth mentioning that if you connect a Streamdeck to a device running Bitfocus Companion, this allows you to create customisable buttons to trigger ONYX.
That works quit Okish, but does the trick for me. To have something similiar directly from Obsidian would be a preferred solution, yes. As the platform B+ is disconntinued as well afaik.
Thank you for the replies, @flippatspace and @Edward! I’ll look into both options.
I’ve had OK-ish luck using a Launchpad as well, but it is a bit clunky through ShowCockpit. Regarding Bitfocus, how does that interface with Onyx? Is it through OSC?
