ONYX Release Candidate 4.5.1214

EDIT: replaced with 1214 after a defect in X-Net was reported

The ONYX 4.6 development cycle is now completed. Some minor housekeeping remains, but this version contains all planned features.

This version changes the licensing system. Be careful when testing this as the “free” Universes are changed. So if you do not own a ONYX Wing or Key be mindful of the Universes you need.

EtherDMX Universes are now REDUCED to 1 free Universes unless Obsidian Hardware is detected.

Netron devices will require a firmware upgrade to enable ONYX unlocking, it will be available with the 4.6 release.

For a summary of the licensing changes please see:

Hey there!

Having some issues with Network Devices, specifically joining or pushing a show in 1213. Both computers are identifying each other just fine and are able to start the “load show” process. The issue is during the loading process. the primary changes over to the “Primary” and the other will load, hang for a bit, and then successfully load the show, but in standalone mode. The primary computer will then go back into standalone mode as well.

I’ve tried to do this over the network, directly connected, over different network adaptors, and still have the same result.

Thanks!

Please can you explain the correct procedure to use the new "load and capture dmx out from an fx? "Each time I try fixtures slightly move themselves respect their current position!
thanx = )

Same issue here for me

Using the new Load feature to capture “dmx raw values from FX” has issues! after the load comand what happens is that the Capture , slightly moves all fixtures from the current stoped position!

Hey! Having some issues with screen tearing on some UI elements that I’ve never experienced before this Beta. So far, panning through the 2D plan and moving the FAN line has some stuttering.

hello, we can confirme that the ui is tearing when moving fan line in fan window.

thx.

r.h.

Replaced with 4.5.1214 due a missing X-Net file.

Confirmed, its a visual issue, shouldn’t have any other effect.

The patch manager just accepts one digit numbers from my computer keyboard. For 2+ digit numbers i have to use the internal keypad

Or the numeric keypad on your keyboard: the row of digits in the top row of your keyboard is considered text, allowing you to enter names that start with digits, without interfering with the numerical selections you enter

As explained by Gert, this is not Beta related, and always been like that… Number entry is done by the Programmer keypad, or left number keypad, on a full PC keyboard

Thank you, I learned something new

LOAD OUTPUT WITH FX
This is still not working for me in this case:
Here as an example I have simply created an fx ,“so it’s running” did not store it to a fader, just the speed fader ,and i was stopping it at some point.
What Onyx does is, it saves my first pan tilt when I stop the fx, then if I leave the fx run again and stop it again at some point, seems it doesn’t work.
Looks like after the first record maybe I need to clear ?
So maybe I can’t use it in this way?
Or am I wrong?
Maybe I can’t stop a running FX that is not stored in a fader? and then record it as pan tilt.
Can you Pplease explain to me the correct procedure!

It’s a bug and has been fixed for the next build

THANX !
= )

With the “NX WING " can I use this window, any shorcut or is it assignable to “F KEY” , or is there a hidden command somewhere ?
This feature is really useful for theater use!
Please don’t tell me CUE " 5” enter.

This 2D fixture scale used to be a good size, now it is too big to be used even when scaled down.
thanks :relaxed:

Hay dog… did ya see the size of that chicken?

Please report this in the library request form:
