Software Version:
Newest version of Onyx. And Capture.
Recently i purchased the capture software to run on my pc along with onyx. I have connected them using the network loop as instructed and everything works perfectly.
However this network loop used to connect the two programs will kick my pc off the internet.
How do i undo the network loop? I have tried undoing the loop in the software, and also restarting the computer but the loop remains. Any help with this networking issue is appreciated. I would like to have my pc be able to get the internet back.
To disable the Loopback adapter on your Windows PC, press start, and then type ncpa.cpl and press enter. This should take you to the Windows Control Panel, with all your PC’s network adapters listed. Click on your loopback adapter, and then press the “Disable this network device” button at the top. Windows will then not allow apps to use this network interface, and so your PC should then be able to connect to the internet via one of your other network adapters as normal.
If your PC is connected to a network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, you don’t need to use the loopback adapter. Instead, you can tell ONYX to use your PC’s active network adapter for CITP, and tell Capture to listen on this adapter. ONYX and Capture can then connect via your external network, even though they’re running on the same PC. You will not be able to do this if your PC is not currently connected to a network, which is where the loopback adapter is required for standalone operation.
