OSC output from Onyx to control QLab

Software Version: 4.30.1274
NX Console Type or PC OS Version: NX1 / Win11 24H2

Hi. I’ve used OSC with QLab and Onyx before where QLab triggers a playlist in Onyx. Is there any way to make it work the other way round - In ETC for instance you can set it up to send the Cue number to QLab every time Go is pressed which makes it trivial to trigger QLab cues at the same time.

Hi @greendoor

Currently, ONYX will only send status updates over OSC, for the purposes of communicating with a remote controller. It is not possible for ONYX to send custom OSC commands in order to trigger other software packages.

It is possible to enable MIDI Show Control (MSC) output from ONYX. This will then send the current cue over MSC, which could trigger QLab. MSC output can be enabled from ONYX > Menu > I/O Settings > Settings. It can then be enabled/disabled per cue list, in each cue list’s options.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.
