Parking fixtures automatically in Onyx preset

Hi Folks. I’m new to the world of Onyx so I’m learning as I go.

I’m currently setting up a new lighting rig for my daughter’s school which includes various LED fixtures and moving heads.

All of the circuits are run off an ETC Foundry Mini Panel (DMX controllable relays).

What I need to happen is run a cues for turning on and off those relays based on which lights need to be used for a function/event/show. This is easy enough. But I also would like to park those fixtures automatically once they are on so that they aren’t cleared and shut off accidently during an event/show. The panels triggers with DMX value of 0 = off and value 1 or higher = On. These is no changing this on the relay panel.

Is this possible? Is there a way to save a park setting within a preset and not have to manually enable it?

TIA

Even if they were parked a loss of power to the console would stop sending DMX.

A high priority cuelist will work to keep the relay open in normal operation.

You will need additional hardware to get around power loss to the console (or PC).

Any of the Netron Nodes are able to do this.

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the response.

I’ll look into high priority cue lists now. Much appreciated.

Power loss is not an issue as the panel’s DMX fail mode setting can be set to go to full, go to 0 or hold last look.
