I was suggesting something similar recently in talk with Obsidian.
A cue list that You could scroll up and down with 2 assigned buttons and then launch it with a GO button on that cue list (playback).
For example for busking You could have a CUE stack of moves for the heads and scroll thru the list to arm a movement and launch it with a fader or a GO (not necessarily main GO but also a GO button from that playback - under the fader or above it).
Also the non zero fader position could determine the effect speed or size, giving it a more control to build up dramatic moments with light.
That way we could build busking cue stacks with FX and mix them live when needed, keeping the programmer free for other stuff.
