Is there a way to remove a parameter from a preset?
I didn’t find how to do that, the method for removing attributes from cue doesn’t work. Try to edit preset, I always do in this way.
If I edit the preset, I still don’t see how to remove a parameter that was already recorded within it. I can change the parameter value, but don’t see a way to remove the parameter from the preset, entirely.
If you click on EDIT and click on the preset it will go to the programmer, then just CLEAR the parameters you want to remove and then click on UPDATE
Thanks, this works.
I just wish all the UX was done more intuitively. Some things are really not obvious and some are really mindbending.
Yes I meant this thing before. I understood he wanted to remove only an attribute, like only the pan, in this way you clear all the category. I certainly misunderstood.
Sorry. I’m still not getting it. Here’s an example: I want to remove the PT Speed parameter from the Preset:
If I hit CLEAR, it pulls up the Values/Filter popup, but I don’t see how it helps:
I clicked on EDIT and then on the preset I want to edit. Then I clicked CLEAR on what I want to clear, then UPDATE
Okay – WOW. That worked great.
Is it explained anywhere in the manual? I read through the Presets section multiple times and never found it. Closest thing I could find was on p 389 (Unparking a Single Parameter) – but don’t know that I would have made the connection to Preset editing, given my experience level.
Also, using a touch screen, I have told hold that button for a couple of seconds (right-click) to get the little window with the Clear option to open. Left-clicking doesn’t seem to do anything, even with a mouse. Are there other buttons in the program that behave this way?
I’m new to this thing and feel like there’s all kinds of hidden (very important) secrets that I don’t even know to look for.
I don’t even know how I know…
That’s…a bit terrifying for a new user.
Go to the help manual and search ‘Clear’ it’s covered there. I often tell new users that the Clear and Load functions are some of the most powerful tools in the whole system. If you learn those well you’re set. Also Cloning in the patch, super useful!!
hello, but we still not able to clone multipart fixtures in the patch? is this right?
thx
