I am wondering if its possible to trigger effects such as strobe or blackout or flashes from Onyx via artnet. I know theres fixtures for arena comp or layers but im not sure where each paramater would be assigned to. any help? using arena 7 and there isnt an arena 7 profile so trying to fig out if the arena 6 profiles work but im not even sure how to categorize the paramaters. any help would be appreciated
In Resolume, you can create shortcuts that can then be triggered by Art-Net from ONYX. Resolume have a handy guide on how to set these shortcuts up, which can be found here… Support – Resolume
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions.
hey, yea i went over that link as well. i guess for more clarification, i am stuck on the onyx patch fixture list for arena comp fixtures. it makes me put the paramters into the correct groups but im not sure where they would go.
In this case, I would probably move all parameters to the “Beam” group, apart from the parameters starting “Gobo…”, which I would put in the Gobo group.
Based on what I can see on the Resolume website, the default Resolume Arena 6 fixtures found in the ONYX library are known as “Auto-Maps”. It looks like in Arena 7 they removed them, and instead you just patch individual control channels for the features you have created shortcuts for… Support – Resolume
Yes - you can just patch a Generic Channel into ONYX for each shortcut you wish to trigger in Resolume.
Patch these generic fixtures onto the universe you wish to send to Resolume. When Art-Net is enabled, fixtures patched on ONYX universe 1, will be sent on Art-Net universe 0.
