seperate ether dmx main switches

please give us a buttom in the the sidebar or as a f key, for seperate main switch on and off artnet and sacn. so wo could fast switch on one or bothe or the other. thx.

Hi @deflost

Thank you for the suggestion.

Would you be able to add a little bit of context, and an example of where you may need to use this? Most systems use either sACN or Art-Net, so I’m just interested to hear the scenario where you may wish to turn off just sACN, leaving Art-Net enabled, for example.

we want to switch off artnet on hot backup consoles, to avoid double artnet output to resolume, but want to hold the sacn backup output on lower priority HOT ,to get a smooth automatic take over in case of a faillure of the primary console, inklusiv the take over for artnet based outputs to devices which are not able to receive sacn with priorty. at the moment the re-switch to artnet out on, on the backup consoles via artnet settings in the menue, simply takes too long in event situations if a fallback to a backup console is nesseccary. thx.

If the Primary and Backup console are both outputting Art-Net, Resolume should perform an HTP or LTP merge of the two sources. As both sources will be sending the same data, the merge should have no effect. Therefore, it should be fine to leave unicast Art-Net output enabled on both systems.

If Resolume is not performing an Art-Net merge, do you instead have a couple of ports spare on a Netron device? If so, you could use a Netron device as an sACN to Art-Net converter. This would allow the Netron device to listen to the highest priority sACN stream from the two ONYX systems, and convert this to Art-Net, to be sent to Resolume.
