Split Timing Programming with Fade/Delay Quick Access Mode?

Software Version: 4.32.1301
NX Console Type or PC OS Version: NX Wing & NX1

UPDATE: As a temporary workaround, I manually selected fixtures in smaller groups and applied different timings to each to mimic a fanned cue transition effect. It works, but I’d love to know if there’s a more efficient or intended way to achieve this.

Hi there,
Excited to dive into the latest update!

I’m currently exploring the new features and experimenting with programming split timings using the Fade/Delay Quick Access Mode. My goal is to create fanned transitions across multiple fixtures.

What’s the correct process for programming split (or fanned) timing within this mode? I’m having trouble getting the timings to spread across the selected fixtures—they seem to apply the same delay/fade to all.

Thanks in advance!

Currently the Fade/Delay Quick Access mode is for setting all selected fixtures to the same time.

For fanned timing, you still need to do in via the CMD line.

  • Select the Fixture
  • Press Fade or Delay
  • Select the parameter you want to Fade or Delay
  • Enter the time in seconds (example 0 THRU 10 ) the first fixture would get 0s seconds and the last fixture would get 10s and the rest would be spread evenly. you can add multiple THRU’s to do more complex timings (0 THRU 10 THRU 0)

Thanks for the confirmation! No worries, for now, the command line method and my workaround using Quick Access Mode are doing the trick for split timing

Super excited about this update!
