Hello! I’m using Obsidian Onyx and keep getting this error on launch:
It used to appear only after a reboot, but now it shows up every time I launch the program.
After clicking OK on the error a few times, it eventually stops showing and the program works — until the next time I open it.
I’ve tried:
- Reinstalling Obsidian Onyx
- Running the official repair script from the forum
- Fully uninstalling and reinstalling SQL Server LocalDB
The error persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly, please try updating your PC to ONYX 4.30.1274, which is the latest release version, available to download from the link below…
