SWING & SPEED bug?

I’ve got:

  • 4x Rockville MotionStrip 38 channel fixtures (though it can probably be any fixture…)
  • One override fader (MotionStrips SWING) that controls the tilt swing amount for all 4 fixtures. It’s set to “Swing 32” (50%) and “Mode Fx 19” (triangle above & below baseline pattern). All 4 fixtures have this same setting in this override cuelist.
  • Another override fader (MotionStrips SPEED) that controls the tilt speed amount for all 4 fixtures. It’s set to “Speed 500” (50% / 80 BPM). All 4 fixtures have this same setting in this override cuelist. This fader is always “on” regardless of the fader position (UP+GO and DOWN+REL) are unchecked in the options).

Neither override fader is using Q-blender. Seems like a pretty standard way of controlling the tilt amount & speed separately…

What I’m seeing is that if I start with the SWING fader @ 100% and the SPEED fader at 0% then move the SPEED fader above 0% (to slowly add in the effect), sometimes 1) the 4 fixtures will become out of sync with each other and 2) sometimes the tilt jumps to some other value before proceeding with the effect. This even happens without override faders - I can reproduce this with just the programmer (have swing amount > 0, then gradually add a speed)

Any ideas why this might be happening!?

Noticed the same. Not happens always, but sometimes. So exactly as you mentioned it here.
