Will ONYX always be Windows only?

I’m curious if this is even a possibility at any point in the future. I would definitely happily be a customer / tester.

I wont say ‘never’ but it’s highly unlikely. The software would have to be reconstructed from the ground up.

I would have to agree that it would be unlikely due to the fact they use embedded windows PC’s inside the actually consoles. Would seem to be a waste of time and resources to restart from scratch.

With Apple moving to ARM this just went from Moonshot to Pluto.

Now I’m wondering, has anyone in ONYX dev tried running the software in a Windows emulators on a Mac?

Running bootcamp on the Mac should work ok, but this could change when the ARM processors come to market.

I’ve run it in a Windows VM in Proxmox VE…so it works.
