In my Onyx PC environment, the user account that performed the installation can start without any problem, but with other user accounts, multiple Windows installers are started and Onyx can not be started.
Of course, the checkbox is not checked so that all users can use it during installation, and other user accounts are also set as administrator.
In previous versions, this never happened.
This is happening on all my 7 PCs.
Windows version is Windows 10 Pro ver 1909.
PC specifications are Core i5-8265U or Core i5-10210U, memory 8GB, SSD256GB.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Is there a solution?
In the Event Viewer, under Windows Application Logs, there should be an entry indicating why the installer was launched (typically a component that wasn’t found, which is identified by a GUID like {d19a660e-610d-4dc6-8bf1-90dfb3166b23}), any chance you could send a copy of that text?
Launch eventvwr.msc from start menu or command prompt, navigate to Windows Logs, Application and search for warnings from MsiInstaller whose message text starts with “Detection of product ‘{CB024F4F-3D14-4CF8-A466-C66DD6F0FA8F}’, feature …”: I would be interested in those text messages.
Thanks for the info, as it happens we came across this same problem with identical details on a few systems in our office yesterday. We’ve been able to fix it and we’ll make it available soon as a hotfix rollup.
